South African Mint celebrates Pratley Putty

During the 1960's the founder of Pratley, Mr George Montague (Monty) Pratley assisted by a chemist, Mr Frank Robinson, invented the world's first Epoxy Putty.Initially the intention was to use it internally for the insulating and affixing of terminals to cast iron Electrical Junction Boxes. This is how we do Friday the 13th!

Ever wondered how reliable Pratley adhesives are? On Friday 13 July, Managing Director, Kim Pratley and his sons, Andrew and Charles, replicated a demonstration from 1985 by standing underneath a 13-tonne bulldozer suspended above their heads using a Pratley Wondafix adhesive joint.
